Devoted supporters of Ariana Grande are urging that a person who jumped a barricade and touched the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or deported from Singapore.

A circulating footage reveals the individual from Australia shoving aside media personnel and charging at Grande while the cast made its way down a event pathway flanked by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being detained", though legal records showed that he was due to attend court on the following morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

History of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a performance. His Instagram profile includes clips of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the city last December.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is obviously a punishable act," commented an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user remarked.

Supporters Voice Worry Over the Star's Safety

Many followers accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented one more comment on Instagram.

A number of supporters also criticised security officers at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while others demanded social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In clips shared widely, Grande seemed shocked when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Many of supporters had congregated in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had waited for as long as many hours before it began.

The film, to be premiered on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a dual interpretation of the popular Broadway and West End show Wicked, which revolves around the surprising relationship between two very different characters.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning film of the previous year in the UK, and earned ten award recognitions, earning several for excellent wardrobe and production design.
