Football Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions

The Gunners' 10-game victorious run was ended by Sunderland before the international break, however can the Premier League leaders recover against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still manage to win."

Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus AI, fans and a range of guests.

In the twelfth round, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

Murs' latest record, the new release, is available on the weekend.

Soccer and Family Experiences

Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful artist and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not planning a professional comeback as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a charity match the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or son decides to play instead."

The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and Albert, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.

"I won't force football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday soccer side," he said.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a period too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our side for several seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Top Division Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's return from injury but their attack is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this game will be fairly close, though. Burnley are disciplined and their sole home losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

It suggests a 1-1 tie to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third league win in a row.

Sutton's prediction: 1-2

The singer's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their past two matches - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they do look strong again.

West Ham's only on the road win this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their manager Nuno was previously that team's manager.

Therefore, what on earth do I go with here - can West Ham continuing their run under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I believe what happened against Aston Villa was a blip.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

Olly's prediction: The home team are doing well but the visitors have picked up under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for the drop before the season started, but they have surprised a few observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their past four games.

My son told me to get Bees striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

The forward will probably score again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back Brentford at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had great fortune on the travel this term, and Brighton are always strong at their stadium. Brentford will try to attack on the break but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a threat.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

Olly's prediction: This could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually turns out to be quite tight. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge game for Fulham, who have lost five of their last six matches.

Fulham have have plenty of quality in their team but it nonetheless feels like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.

Regarding Sunderland, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League season so far.

The away side's performance in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was superb. We've not seen anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing to do to support the Black Cats here, because they are clearly able of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the close of last month.

However I am not going to choose that. Rather, I really need to continue opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive results because they evidently love to defy my predictions.

Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the only side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be absolutely eager for a good outcome, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and also that the hosts are on a poor streak... but Fulham have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a tough fixture to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but could they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
