A Major Signing for United Schüller, who has half a year left on her deal, has been a consistent goalscorer for her club and the national team. She has netted over 100 goals for Bayern and scored 54 times in 82 appearances for her country. This signing is viewed as a marquee coup for the Women’s Super League side. Departure from Bayern was expected after she appeared to be fighting back tears while applauding the club's fans after a victory over Bayer Leverkusen recently. Reports in late December that the Frauen-Bundesliga was set to lose one of its top forwards. According to reports, the formalities for the transfer have now been completed. Consistent Goalscoring to Boost the Forward Line The experienced striker's signing is expected to provide a significant boost to United’s forward line. Schüller has been highly reliable in front of goal in the Bundesliga. Over seven consecutive seasons, up to and including the most recent campaign, she achieved at least a double-figures tally of league goals. She won the Golden Boot in 2021-22 season with a haul of 16 goals. Building Steam at Old Trafford Securing Schüller’s signature coincides with a period when the club appear to be building momentum. Their recent performances feature qualifying for the Champions League knockout phase playoffs in a seeded position and a win in the Conti Cup quarter-finals. In the transfer market, the winter break has seen additional business: The acquisition of Swedish right-back Hanna Lundkvist on a three-and-a-half-year deal. The new deal for Japanese playmaker Hinata Miyazawa, a fan favourite since arriving in 2023. On Miyazawa’s new deal, a senior figure stated: “She has become a critical component to the way we play.
