Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the video game company he co-founded.

The renowned video game developer lost his life when his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a motorway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, as reported by.
